The Joel E. Ferris Perennial Garden is only one place bearing his name. The Joel E. Ferris Perennial Garden in Manito Garden was dedicated shortly after Mr. Ferris’ death in 1960.

The Joel E. Ferris Perennial Garden displays plants that live for more than two growing seasons. Boasting over 300 varieties of plants, the vastness of colors, textures, flowers and scents is astounding. The plants also vary is height and width.

This garden begins blooming in the spring and continues blooming through the fall. The Joel E. Ferris Perennial Garden is a tremendous example of how diverse perennials can be and like its name sake, a central icon at Manito Park.
