Gardening Compost
Most gardeners know that compost is a vital element in any garden soil and loam. Compost is organic material that is decomposing or already decomposed materials producing a nutrient rich dark soil great for your Pacific Northwest garden.
Nitrogen is a primary element in nutrient rich soil and is a primary plant food. Nitrogen makes plants green and grow healthy. Composting generates a lot of Nitrogen in soil.
GARDENING TIP: If you want to speed up the composting process in your garden compost pile, go to your garden shop and get some inexpensive Ammonium Sulfate and sprinkle it liberally on the compost pile, then mix it into the compost.
